My favorite show is technically a children’s show. But the brilliant writing surpasses any other show I’ve ever watched on television. And most movies fall short of eliciting the emotions I feel when I watch Gortimer Gibbon’s Life On Normal Street.
Dave watched the first few episodes without me, and then begged me to watch it with him. I couldn’t believe how creative, witty, and poignant it was for a show about a group of quirky junior high friends.
We’ve watched and rewatched the first season. When we saw that Season 2 had been added, we squealed and planned a date night.
I finished Season 2 in two nights. I couldn’t stop watching. I laughed and bawled and tried to wake Dave. He had fallen asleep a few episodes in, but I was determined to finish all of them.
Watch it. Both seasons. You won’t regret it. These young actors are phenomenal. Truly deserving of awards. Everyone involved in this show should be proud. It is art.
